Idea for this sculpture came after diving Great Barrier Reef in Australia.
It 's fluid form which flows through curves gives it feeling of soft structure.
Sculpture is made out of Prune wood to give it fine detail and soft grain, it is finished in Gilboy's Antique Gold wax after numerous hours of fine sanding.
It stands on big limestone from island of Brac.

Maple form on metal marble
I always wanted to play with form and explore its full possibilityes.
Maple wood gives me a possibility to make each detail stand out.
It took me few years to finish completely this peace as it was constantly changing on me as I was working on it.
Each time I look at it it transforms and gives me a new train of thoughts.
10 years dried maple with Gilboy's finish, sanded down to 5000 and than rest with cloth.
Australian dream

In this form I try to remember my trip to Australia. Corals, cassowary, seagulls, corals, beaches, sea foam, Aboriginals, sharks, fish, darkwood it all stays in my thoughts & dreams. What a world to live in.
Middle was burned than cleaned and stained.

Description:
This form was inspired by Miro's ''Pregnant woman'' in Palma de Mallorca.
I wanted also to add a feeling of fragility of life which is always on verge of falling.
Stone is from one of two volcanic island in Croatia and to me entire form is looking in distance from edge of the beach.
